Made for a downtown Manhattan apartment, this bed combines Italian influences with solid wood construction. This step away from modern construction techniques that use industrial products veneered with wood allowed the cantilevering of the nightstand drawers.

These clients were rewarded with a sturdy, sophisticated piece built to a quality that is hard to find in the regular furniture world.

Like all pieces I make, I intend for this one to be passed down from generation to the next as a heirloom. Solid wood is used in the construction to provide strength and support for the cantilevered nightstand.
